What is endangered species:

A species is said to be endangered species if its population is at the verge of extinction. Moreover an international body also categorized endangered species.

How can we protect endangered species:

We can protect endangered species by

• Providing them shelter.
• Ban over hunting for specific species.
• Facilitating reproduction activity.
• Finding issues of extinction in particular area.
• Mobilizing community for awareness for saving species.

List of animals which are to be extinct

Vaquita is an endangered species of marine animal found in California.

 

Tiger population is also decremented. It is found in India, Siberia, Bengal and Africa. Its all classification and sun species are in danger to extinction.

 

The Saola—An Asian Unicorn is found in Asian countries i.e. Pakistan, India and Vietnam. It is also considered endangered species.

 

 

Spix’s Macaw is one of the beautiful bird. It has variety of colours. Its native country is Brazil, Biologist also enlist it as endangered species.

SNOW LEOPARD is an endangered species found in South Asia (All northern and snow covered regions) and Himalaya (Pakistani Region). Due to elimination habitat and scarcity of food its population is decreasing.

SNOW BEAR or WHITE BEAR is animal of the poles region. Polar bear or white bear is also a marine animal it can swim and catch fish and other marine animals. Due to decrease in Arctic ice region its population is also decrementing and therefore it is listed as near to extinction species.

 

Siamese Crocodile native habitat is Indonesia, Brunei, East Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is also near to extinction.

Kakapo Parrot is amazingly flightless land bird. Its origin is New Zeland.

 

Leather back Sea Turtle is most endangered marine species due to lack of habitat and pollution in sea. It is beautiful and heaviest marine species.

Mexican Wolf at one time considered as endangered species and now its population is stable. Found in Central Mexico anMountain Gorilla habitat is rain forest. It is conserved in Africa, Uganda. Its average life is 50 years.

Northern Right Whale population is also at danger stage of elimination. Researcher have estimated that its population is 400 individuals only to date.

Northern Sportive Lemur habitat is Madagascar region. It is listed in top ten endangered species.

Philippine Eagle habitat is Philippine. One of the most beautiful prey bird. It usually feed itself on monkey. It is also in danger of extinction.

Javan rhinoceros is one of the animal who is in top ten near to extinction. Approximately 62 individuals are left. Its horn has become its enemy. Moreover due to decrease in grass land its population also get a decrease.

 

Island Fox or Californian fox is a small fox, largely present near islands of California. Due to prey bird Eagle its population is decreasing. Now efforts are being made by relocating its prey region and other measures to restore its population.

Blind Dolphin-Indus dolphin Approximately 750 individuals are left. It is found in Indus River (Pakistan). Its greater population exists at Sukkur Barrage. Efforts are being made to increase its population and to save this beautiful animal.

Iberian Lynx habitat is Iberian Peninsula and southwestern Europe. It is endangered species due to elimination of habitat and food.

 

Hawaiian Monk Seal is top ten endangered species. Its region of habitat is Hawaiian Island.  Efforts are in progress to restore its population. Collective efforts are being initiated by all stakeholders i.e. fisherman, Scientists and community worker to save this creature.

Hawaiian Crow is most endangered species and near to extinction in its habitat Hawaii.

Giant Panda habitat is Central of People Republic of China. It is considered rare species.

Asian Bactrian Camel is a large desert / land animals. It is mostly used for loading and travelling through deserts and land. But due to new communication facilities it is no more useful therefore its breed and existence is in danger as it is no more useful for man. It has two humps.

 

Baiji habitat is Yangtze River in China. It is almost extinct species of China.

Brazilian Merganser habitat is Brazil and approximately 200 individuals are left. It relates to duck family. Due to lack of habitat it is included in top ten most endangered species of the world.

Colombia and Valenzuela are major habitat of Brown Spider Monkey. It is found in thick rain forest. It is also in the list of top ten endangered animals.

Catarina Pupfish is considered extinct rather endangered species. Its original habitat is Mexico.

It is North American large bird. At one time California Condor had became extinct but after extensive restoration plans by American Wild Life Department its population has now been increased.

Chinese Giant Salamander is aquatic animal found in china. 

Addax or white antelope is found in Sahara region. 

Amur Cat is found in Russia and China. It is included in the list of most endangered species which is near to extinct. Until now approximately 67 individuals of this family are left in Russia and China.

Arakan Forest Turtle is a land turtle found in some aprts of Bangladesh and Myammer. It is almost extinct animal.

Axolotl is a type of amphibian some time it is referred as walking fish. Its only habitat is mexico city thats why it is in the list of endangered species due to rare species
